Cobogó
São Paulo
A Brazilian building element—a hollow brick capable of controlling light without restricting air circulation, a desirable feature of our climate—inspired Cobogó Relações Públicas to create its name eight years ago. This reference guided the Superlimão firm in developing the architectural and branding project for the agency's new space, which has also handled the firm's communications since 2016.
The poetic Brazilianness of Tropicália and the Modernism present in different forms of expression (design, music, architecture, and writing) were the creative starting point.
In a 115m2 slab on General Jardim Street, in Vila Buarque, São Paulo, the architects faced the challenge of accommodating a growing team and creating layout solutions for different daily uses.
Upon entering the agency, a Cobogós wall greets guests. Behind this open wall, the unit's slab reveals the fully integrated space, accommodating the team of journalists, designers, and public relations professionals at work desks designed by Superlimão for Escinter.
A bookcase, also from the same line, was created for the space—with a planter, books, and a television for team meetings. A large window with yellow frames permeates the entire space, bringing in plenty of natural light.
Opposite, two spaces for different uses were planned. A meeting room with Luxion lamps and FK chairs features a curtain separating it from the other spaces, creating a light and fluid feel. Another space for individual or online meetings was created to accommodate hybrid work models. In this space, a wooden bench designed for relaxing while employees answer calls features a lamp designed by Ronald Sasson.
Among the finishes, a Shaw Contract carpet was chosen for the flooring, which improved the space's acoustics and its layout evokes a large-scale Cobogó.
In the bathroom, the flooring was finished with new Dalle Piagge tiles, a Superlimão launch for the brand. Their special shapes brought movement to one of the collection's many possible layouts. A mirror with a Cobogós sticker made the space Instagrammable.
A project conceived for a team passionate about Brazilian creativity, architecture, and design, which inspired the architects to design a corporate space with plenty of edginess.
