Ampfy
São Paulo
Understanding how an agency operates to design a project for a multipurpose building, and seeking an investor, was the starting point for Superlimão's interior design proposal for Ampfy's new headquarters in Vila Madalena, São Paulo. The agency invited them to undertake this project, and they learned that the project would be based on an architectural design developed by Reinach Mendonça Arquitetos Associados (RMAA).
The starting point was to concentrate the agency's operational and management areas on the two upper floors, while turning the ground floor into a communal space. Meeting rooms are located on the ground floor – the informal work and living space is located at the front of the floor, connecting to the garden and patio, supported by multifunctional furniture designed by Superlimão, along the right side of the building.
In the basement, the reception area was transformed into a monochromatic tunnel in a deep yellow hue. Some architectural elements were taken advantage of, such as the perforated metal facades, which were replicated as partitions between spaces. The facade's terraces can also be enclosed with folding doors made of perforated metal mesh, and the recesses house balconies, allowing natural light to enter the building.
The agency's central area prioritized the collective space in the interior design. Individual lockers and countertops were added to serve as both a printing center and a pantry, providing comfortable and informal interaction for employees. The front garden was also optimized for use as an extension of the ground floor. On the upper floor, the wooden ceiling allows a glimpse of the sloping roof.
