Ret Apt
São Paulo
An apartment with Praça da República, in downtown São Paulo, as its garden. The Retrofit apartment is a rental property that was designed by Superlimão to meet the needs of different types of residents.
The living room decor prioritized neutral elements and sought to free up space to the balcony. A cabinet made of wood separates the bedroom and the living room, transforming the 50 m² apartment into a loft. The glass panels throughout, with abundant light and views of the green treetops, combined with exposed concrete and steel, bring the São Paulo atmosphere into the property.
Delivered by the construction company without finishing and appearing to be small, the owner of the property had in mind that the project would have to be practical, since the characteristics of the building suggested a tenant with a modern and relaxed profile. So, SuperLimão conducted a survey of the daily needs of a person who would live there and from there the project developed.
With shelves supported by concrete beams and a washing machine installed in the closet, the project offers versatility. The objective was to create spaces in which the future resident of the apartment could display their story: an ornament, a book, a photograph, giving the interior design a bit of their personality.
