The project for the new Carbono store in Jaú is Superlimão's third for the brand – the second is in Moema and the first, the brand's flagship, is located on Alameda Gabriel Monteiro da Silva, in Jardim América, in São Paulo.
In a house listed as a historical heritage site, the goal of the project was to create a furniture store with flexible spaces, while maintaining the Carbono Home identity.
The original façade was maintained and revitalized, with the use of climbing plants that climb the structure, bringing a touch of green to the space and surprising customers who visit the store, thinking of the project as an "installation" inserted into the existing space.
The ground floor is characterized by an environment with subtle architecture, which gives prominence to the furniture on display. Light colors were selected for the walls, frames and for the terrazzo with tiles applied to the floor, so as not to interfere with the composition with the furniture.
On the second floor of the store, the idea was to explore and take advantage of the materials that characterized the property, such as exposed ceilings and walls, which were peeled back to expose the original bricks. The roof structure, which was also exposed, was painted, giving the space a more rustic feel.
The metal panels are common elements on both floors of the store. With the subtlety that the project requires, they help to delimit or unify the spaces, allowing the team to change the store layout when necessary.
