Casa CCN

São Paulo

Superlimão designs the CCN Stand with architecture that connects past and future, translating the essence of the North Zone and marking the start of a new phase for the region Located at a strategic point between Shopping Center Norte and Lar Center, the Casa Cidade Center Norte (CCN) represents the initial milestone for the future planned neighborhood by the Baumgart group. The Superlimão firm designed a space that not only presents the project but also invites the public to experience what it's like to live and work in the North Zone—with a sense of welcome, identity, and quality of life. The proposal blends architecture and narrative to create an environment where visitors feel they are part of the transformation to come, going beyond a simple commercial function. The structure needed to become an urban icon, capable of expressing the pride of belonging to the North Zone and showcasing this way of life to the rest of the city. The main facade is another important aspect, with a volume that aims to create an immersive experience. Inspired by the irregular shapes found in nature, like a rock that allows vegetation to grow around it, the CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) brises create a structure that opens up, suggesting movement and fluidity. Sensory Journey: Immersion from the Entrance Upon entering, visitors are greeted by an immersive corridor where sound, light, and aromas help them disconnect from the parking lot environment and prepare for the journey ahead. The sensory experience reinforces the contrast with the surroundings and deepens the immersion into the Cidade Center Norte universe. Next, visitors learn about the history of the Baumgart group and the evolution of the North Zone in a narrative that values local memory as a starting point for the future. The ground floor is treated like a backyard—a space for gathering, shade, and lingering—while the upper floor takes on the role of an urban living room, more geared toward interaction and conversation. More than just a static building, the project was designed to transform over time and with different uses. The furniture is mobile, and the space can host events, meetings, activations, and gatherings. The surrounding plaza has already become a point for rest and socializing for people in the area. Sustainability, a key theme in the CCN urban plan, is evident in the choice of materials: a lightweight metal structure, engineered wood brises, and green areas integrated into the design, reinforcing the intention to create a living space that is connected to the landscape and in harmony with its surroundings. By telling a story through architecture, the Casa CCN shows that innovation and a sense of belonging can go hand in hand. And that on this side of the highway, there is also life—with identity, memory, and plenty to offer.
