Escinter

São Paulo

Escinter sells corporate furniture, partitions, acoustics and technology solutions for the architecture market. Superlimão's project for its new store in Vila Madalena brought a concept that sought to explore and reveal the diversity of products sold by the brand. In addition to making adjustments and improvements to the space, using much of the existing structure, the project sought to create an office environment, going beyond the idea of displaying the display, valuing the products and displaying them in the same way they would be used in a corporate project. Then, environments were created that integrate the program of an office, taking advantage of the spaciousness of the space and the generous ceiling height to create a fluid and flexible layout that could be adapted as products changed. Since it has a wide range of materials, the different textures of the carpets and fabrics sold by Escinter were used in the proposed solutions, so that the client could get to know and explore the material in all its possibilities. One of the stairs that gave access to the rear mezzanine was eliminated. In order to level the front mezzanine, it was necessary to raise the entire existing metal mezzanine and then connect them with a new metal walkway. This level adjustment made it possible to create an open terrace at the back of the building, which brings natural light and a view of the vegetation to the workstations. The plaster ceiling over the mezzanine was removed, and the store gained a higher ceiling that allowed for the use of suspended acoustic panels. The proposed façade sought to bring an element that would work to improve the building's comfort, protecting the front rooms from sunlight while highlighting the brand's presence in the new showroom. A system of perforated mobile metal panels was created, with a perforation pattern based on the Escinter logo. The same design was used on the side façade, with a gradient applied to the perforation of the sheet. Considering that the furniture displayed in the showroom is changed and repositioned quite frequently, a lighting, flooring and electrical grid was created that would meet the various configurations and layout possibilities. In addition to creating an outdoor decompression area for employees, the new terrace has expanded the mezzanine level, creating a green escape point for those walking on the walkway and to the workstations.
