Escinter

São Paulo

Escinter sells corporate furniture, partitions, acoustics, and technology solutions for the architectural market. Superlimão's design for its new store in Vila Madalena featured a concept that sought to explore and showcase the diversity of products sold by the brand. In addition to adapting and improving the space, utilizing much of the existing structure, the project sought to create an office environment, going beyond the idea of displaying displays, highlighting the products and displaying them in the same way they would be used in a corporate project. Spaces were created that integrate with the program of an office, leveraging the spaciousness of the space and the generous ceiling height to create a fluid and flexible layout that could be adapted as products changed. Because Escinter offers a wide range of materials, the different textures of the carpets and fabrics sold by Escinter were used in the proposed solutions, allowing the client to explore and explore the material in all its possibilities. One of the stairs that led to the rear mezzanine was eliminated. To level the front mezzanine, the entire existing metal mezzanine had to be erected and then connected with a new metal walkway. This level adjustment created an open terrace at the rear of the building, bringing natural light and views of the vegetation to the workstations. The plaster ceiling over the mezzanine was removed, resulting in a higher ceiling that allowed for the use of suspended acoustic panels. The proposed facade sought to incorporate a design that would enhance the building's comfort, protecting the front rooms from sunlight while also highlighting the brand's presence in the new showroom. A system of movable perforated metal panels was created, with a perforation pattern based on the Escinter logo. The same design was used on the side facade, with a gradient applied to the perforations. Considering that the furniture displayed in the showroom is frequently changed and repositioned, a lighting, flooring, and electrical grid was created to accommodate the various configurations and layout possibilities. In addition to creating an outdoor decompression area for employees, the new terrace expanded the mezzanine level, creating a green escape point for those walking along the walkway and to the workstations.
