Living Furniture

São Paulo

Located in a corner building, the store had to house the contemporary collection and the new language of the brand, which has been operating in the market for 60 years and, in this new venture, seeks a new aesthetic language imprinted on its products and also on its architecture. To this end, the situation was analyzed, which features a building set back behind a square in a curved shape, and also the needs for displaying the products. It was then decided to make a large opening in the facade with an auxiliary metal structure in a place visible to pedestrians and also to those passing by on this busy street. The hexagonal shape of the facade was used, sometimes opaquely, sometimes semi-translucent, creating a movement between right and curved angles and, at the same time, shaping the openings where it is sometimes explicit, as in the main window, and other times insinuated, more discreetly, to encourage visitors. Inside the store, you can see a shipping container door, used to lift large items that cannot be transported by stairs. The masonry was stripped and exposed in its raw form, and the lighting uses the existing structure to fix it, providing the greatest possible flexibility for displaying the products in the store. Inspired by the unusual architectural proposal, visual artist Felipe Morozini is responsible for the creative direction of the objects, furniture and art at ESTAR GABRIEL. With the aim of humanizing and escaping the showroom standards, the curator proposes unpretentious and humorous spaces that bring back history, nostalgia, emotion and the feeling of being at home, so that the visitor feels as if they were in their own home. At the helm of ESTAR MÓVEIS, Edith Diesendruck and Raquel Fogelman celebrate the 61st anniversary of the company that has established itself as a reference for launching trends in the national furniture and design market. Success is reflected in the improved selection of high-quality products and in the partnership with artists and designers to create original products with a Brazilian identity. The innovative perspective is combined with the experience acquired and the constant challenge of offering the most beautiful and the best at affordable prices. The result is the growth and strengthening of the brand, a success spanning six decades.
