Quero Passagem
São Paulo
Seeking to reinvent the bus station experience, Quero Passagem, a bus ticket company, commissioned Superlimão to design the new VIP lounge at the Tietê Bus Terminal. The goal was to reflect Brazil's cultural diversity and richness, while also providing comfort and functionality to passengers.
The project's main objective was to demonstrate that buses not only connect people throughout Brazil, but also transform the places they pass through, acting as an agent of integration between the country's diverse regions.
Embodying this vision, the VIP lounge's design was inspired by "Brazilianness," with elements reminiscent of natural riches: forests, skies, and rivers, highlighted by the gardens, varied seating areas, and dynamic elements, such as the ceiling lining.
The bathrooms, clad in Superlimão tiles for Dalle Piagge Hydraulic Tiles in shades of yellow and blue, reflect the brand's colors and can be configured in different ways to create unique journeys, evoking a sense of movement and movement.
One of the project's innovations was the change to the facade, which incorporates the bus's design from the windows to the interior layout (such as the seats, aligned parallel to the facade), creating an atmosphere that recreates the experience of being on board. The mashrabiyas – openwork wooden partitions – were developed especially for the project. The chosen pattern was inspired by elements of Quero Passagem's visual identity and serves to reinforce the brand while also contributing to the privacy of the lounge's users.
Prioritizing functionality and adaptability, the space was designed with flexible furniture to meet the diverse needs of passengers, whether for business meetings or family trips. Seats equipped with power outlets and laptop tables were strategically positioned next to a meeting room, ensuring comfort and privacy for travelers during their wait. Additionally, the partitions between the seats can be removed to accommodate larger groups during vacations, offering greater visibility for parents with children. The acoustic linings, produced by Trisoft from recycled PET bottles, and combined with rubber flooring, ensure a peaceful experience for passengers, undisturbed by outside noise.
Finally, in a nod to the bus's own seating, carpentry chairs were added to provide a more relaxing and laid-back resting position.
