Sousmile

SouSmile, a Brazilian dental health treatment startup that develops affordable dental aligners and whitening products, won a project from Superlimão for its headquarters in the city of São Paulo. In a warehouse in the west zone, in Pinheiros, the project sought to accommodate a program that would accommodate the administrative area, the professionals (dentists who perform the clinical analyses that are sent there and the treatment planning) and the aligner production area. Attributes of the brand were incorporated into the architecture of the space, in order to convey SouSmile's messages, such as efficiency, transparency, joy, self-esteem and care. The color palette also came from the brand and was studied for application in the project. Right on the facade of the warehouse, there is a large opening by a roller gate. The bricks were painted white with a paint layout using SouSmile's color palette. With high ceilings and natural lighting, the new space is spacious and flexible. The outdoor area, located at the front of the lot, leads people into the warehouse, where the pantry is located, with a generous seating area for collaborative meetings, a booth, and also a grandstand and a service room for training – this is where the entire sales process of the physical store is simulated and trained. Under the mezzanine, there is the production area for dental aligners, which required the project to pay technical attention to the demands of exhaust, air quality and adequate coverings. On the ground floor are part of the workstations – diagonally arranged to create movement. Spaces were designed to encourage conversations and exchanges between the team and a phone booth with acoustics and echo shape for private conversations. A walkway with stairs leads to the upper floor, where the meeting rooms are located at both ends of the building. It was a choice to prioritize the layout of one of the rooms with a triangular table so that everyone who participates can make full use of the monitor screen. The simplicity of the materials predominates in the project, with the use of curves in the service room (in polycarbonate), the concrete floor, metal mezzanine, LED lighting and work furniture designed with digital production.
