Sousmile
São Paulo
SouSmile, a Brazilian dental health startup that develops affordable aligners and whitening products, won a Superlimão project for its São Paulo headquarters.
In a warehouse in the west zone of Pinheiros, the project sought to accommodate the administrative area, the professionals (dentists who perform the clinical analyses and treatment planning), and the aligner production area.
Brand attributes were incorporated into the space's architecture, conveying SouSmile's messages of efficiency, transparency, joy, self-esteem, and care. The color palette also originated from the brand and was carefully selected for use in the project.
Right at the warehouse's facade, there's a large opening through a rolling gate. The bricks were painted white with a paint scheme based on SouSmile's color palette. With high ceilings and natural light, the new space is spacious and flexible.
The outdoor area, located at the front of the lot, leads people into the warehouse, where the pantry is located. It features a generous seating area for collaborative meetings, a booth, and also a bleacher and a training room. This is where the entire physical store sales process is simulated and practiced. Below the mezzanine level is the dental aligner production area, which required technical attention to exhaust ventilation, air quality, and adequate flooring.
On the ground floor are some of the workstations, arranged diagonally to create movement. Spaces were designed to encourage conversation and exchange among the team, as well as a phone booth with acoustics and an echo-shaped design for private conversations.
A walkway with stairs leads to the upper floor, where the meeting rooms are located at both ends of the building. A decision was made to prioritize the layout of one of the rooms with a triangular table so that all participants could fully utilize the monitor screen.
The simplicity of materials predominates in the project, with the use of curves in the reception room (in polycarbonate), the concrete floor, metal mezzanine, LED lighting and work furniture designed with digital production.
